Regional Coordinator, Sub-Saharan Africa

Description: Regional Coordinators are responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key individuals and organizations within the region of their focus. They are tasked with identifying potential partners, coordinating field programs, creating a database of regional resources and writing blog and e-newsletter updates.
Qualifications: The FrontlineSMS community is results-oriented, passionate and highly focused. A previous knowledge of – or willingness to learn – mobile activism, microfinance, business and development is desired. Fluency or functional fluency in French, Portuguese and/or Swahili is a plus.
Expectations: Mobility and accessibility are essential. Regional Coordinators are expected to be connected and accessible through a variety of medium (e.g. email, telephone, social networks, VOIP, etc.). Applicants must be willing to work 10 to 15 hours a week. All positions are unpaid.
