Ushahidi has been growing quite a bit over the last year, and we have a need for someone to join the team and do programming work in Kenya – Nairobi to be specific. Things to know about this position:

• It is primarily about working with people in Kenya who need customization and/or continued help with deploying the Ushahidi platform.
• It is about being part of the Ushahidi team and helping further refine and develop the core architecture of the platform.

• Finally, it’s about being one of the key Ushahidi community members in Kenya, and getting others engaged in the development of the tool.

Though we are a non-profit organization, we have received enough funding to offer this as a 12-month, full-time, contract position.

Note: Those who have worked on the Ushahidi platform in the past as volunteer devs will be given preferential treatment. Those who are vouched for by senior members in the volunteer dev community will be looked at closer.
